Explore fascinating fibre fusion techniques with textile artist Wendy Stanger, including flowers and leaves in textile work. Use plant based fibres such as bamboo, linen, cotton and nettle along side animal fibres such as wool and silk. Learn the wet process of fusing the layers of fibre together, how to add plant pieces and how to mould and sculpt with these papery surfaces. We'll also forage from the wildlife garden, discuss flower pressing and explore the use of dried flowers.
All materials included in the fee plus coffee on arrival. Workshops are based in our Garden Studio and include time to relax and explore the arts centre and wildlife garden, learn about the Florence Mine site and enjoy our Fair-trade coffee and teas.
Ticket sales close 7 days before the event - please don't miss out!
