Artist Brief
Youth Art Short Course
9th April – 12th April
We are excited to offer this new opportunity to work with young people aged 16-25. We want to give young people in West Cumbria the chance to work closely with a visual artist over four days, to develop their practice and get a better understanding of creative careers by working with a practising artist.
We are already offering regular creative art sessions for young people aged 12-16 as part of Florence’s youth programme. However, we felt it was important to offer some 1-2-1 support for aspiring artists aged 16-25 to help get them involved with Cumbria’s ever growing art scene.Please see the details here and get in touch with Sue if you’d like to discuss it: director@florenceartscentre.com

Would you like to meet people, share your skills, give a little back to the local community?
Helping out occasionally or doing regular sessions, there are a range of roles which volunteers enjoy at Florence - in the garden, maintaining the building, serving behind the bar or providing tech support for events, serving refreshments, helping with family activities…
