Neolithic Axe Heads: Rubbings and Sprayings

This is one of three free family workshops. All workshops take place in Florence Arts Centre and are run by artist Anna Clough who is exhibiting in The Change Room in the gallery space. Each workshop is aimed at families with children aged 7-12yrs and is free to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This session features a hands-on session with neolithic axe heads hosted by Keswick Museum and is inspired by Sam Evans’ work within The Change Room. We will explore different ways we can creatively record objects from our past with a variety of materials and ask ourselves questions; why is this object special? What can we learn from it?
